The chest containing Aegis Plate is located at the top-left of the outdoor section of the right-hand tower in Towers of Twin Dragons , where Miriam previously fought the boss Valac. In order to acquire it, Miriam must have acquired Invert. Moving to the side-on "2D" area to the left of the base of the tower, the player can then trigger Invert to sent Miriam up to the top. The chest is located in a narrow crevice protected by spikes, requiring some careful maneuvering to reach the chest while avoiding damage. Aegis Plate is a prerequisite for the "true" ending path: it is used along with Invert in the first room of Entrance where the statue fell from above in the background when Miriam first entered. Inverting here will lead to a series of narrow horizontal passages with spikes on the floor and ceiling. Two have iron maidens which need to be moved with Craftwork in order to proceed.
