Located right behind the Portuguese Center of Photography a former jail, by the way , The Door is a small yet very cosy restaurant where you will able to try great tapas like Black Angus Carpaccio, Argentinian empanadas and Alheira slices a traditional Portuguese sausage. There are also plenty of vegetarian options, like the beetroot hummus. But for me, the star of the night were the fresh oysters from Aveiro a city just 60km South of Porto , that were available that night. Highly recommend the duck as it is hands down the best dish of the night. Came here for breakfast and the portions are so big!! They have by far the best tuna tartar I ate in several places in Portugal and I am sure it has to do with the avocado and coriander that in in the recipe. If we had more time in Porto, I probably would have came here every morning for breakfast. Recommend to either come here before it opens at 12 pm or make a reservation in advance if you want to eat here. Came here twice and twice I was stoned by the rich and deep flavours of the food, amazing service and vibe. We get it, sooner or later we all want to get a taste of the best things Curious about the sites we referenced? We came to Porto for 5 days and I have been here every single morning. Everyone knows what to do and how. I'm not a huge seafood fan but the seafood entree was pretty good. We definitely recommend it! It is a interesting place to go in a group.
