What combination of soils from the Bunnings bagged range do you recommend to enable an affordable result. I need a total of 33 litres. Could you please double-check that litre requirement for me? It seems exceptionally low; perhaps it was litres? To improve the mix, I'll use a three-part soil mix to one-part blended cow manure. For the top section, where the plant roots are established, I'll switch to a quality mix like Scotts Osmocote 50L Premium Potting Mix and mix in some cow manure. The ideal soil is a brown-to-black friable able to break into smaller pieces loam that has good texture and holds moisture without turning to mud.
