Salford City extended their unbeaten run to six games under new boss Karl Robinson with a stoppage-time equaliser in a draw at Swindon.

Harry McKirdy's stoppage-time equaliser earned Swindon a draw against play-off hopefuls Gillingham at Priestfield. Sean McGurk, who joined the Wiltshire side from Leeds earlier this month, fired the visitors ahead after 24 minutes following an incisive break. Second-half goals from Oli Hawkins and a Connor Mahoney penalty looked set to seal three points for the Gills but McKirdy struck late for a point. Shadrach Ogie's last-ditch challenge prevented Paul Glatzel from slotting in a second goal for Swindon in first-half stoppage time after the striker had rounded Jake Turner, before Remeao Hutton denied the Town striker in similar circumstances. The Gills drew level when Hawkins rose the highest to meet Max Clark's cross after 68 minutes for his second goal in as many games. Mahoney put his side ahead from the penalty spot after fellow substitute Jorge Hurtado had been fouled by Frazer Blake-Tracy 11 minutes from time. However, substitute McKirdy brilliantly curled into the bottom corner from the edge of the box four minutes into added time to earn Swindon a deserved point.

Stephen Wearne scored twice on his full league debut for MK Dons inside the first eight minutes to secure a victory at struggling Swindon. Wearne opened the scoring with just four minutes on the clock after some calamitous Swindon defending. It was four minutes later as Wearne swept home at the far post following a brilliant centre across the six-yard box. The Dons pushed for a third goal and Daniel Kemp forced a good save out of Bycroft nine minutes into the second half with a stinging yard shot. Charlie Austin finished emphatically with one minute remaining to give Swindon hope of a late comeback, but the visitors were able to see out the win. The victory lifts MK Dons up to fifth in the Sky Bet League One table, seven points off leaders Stockport, while Swindon languish in 18th place after a run of four games without a win.

Liam Humbles came off the bench to earn Salford a point deep into stoppage time in a draw with Swindon. Both right-backs were on target in the first 11 minutes with Remeao Hutton's strike cancelling out an opener from the Ammies' Ethan Ingram. Charlie Austin's late penalty looked to have won it for the Robins, but Humbles smashed home the equaliser in the 96th minute. Salford took the lead when Luke Bolton played Ingram through before he fired into the bottom corner. It could have been soon after, and this time Bolton latched on to Matt Smith's flick-on but poked the ball just wide. Instead, it was thanks a clever corner from Tyrese Shade, who pulled it back to the edge of the box for Hutton to score. Bolton and Stevie Mallan then went close for Salford, although Elliot Watt's goal-saving last-man tackle on Austin kept the scores level. Swindon were then awarded a penalty and Curtis Tilt was sent off for bringing down Rushian Hepburn-Murphy. Austin's 50th goal for Swindon from the spot was well-deserved, but Salford hit back and Humbles levelled the scores.

Leyton Orient's perfect start to the League Two season came to an end with a draw at Swindon. Swindon opened the scoring after only three minutes as Jacob Wakeling got in behind and played the ball across goal to give Harry McKirdy the simplest of tasks of opening the scoring. However, the visitors struck back three minutes later when Paul Smyth stroked home a Theo Archibald cross at the back post. Smyth could have had a second when he ran unopposed through the Swindon defence but dragged his shot wide of the far post from a tight angle. Shortly before half-time Ben Gladwin played a raking ball out to McKirdy before receiving the ball back from him, only to see a curling shot go just wide from the edge of the box. George Moncur made a surging run across the field and let fly from just outside the box after 68 minutes, but Swindon goalkeeper Sol Brynn made a smart stop at his near post.
