If you can afford it and saving a ton of time waiting is something you're looking for, yes, it absolutely is worth it. It is extremely fast, and gas is way easier than sparkpowder 1 gas for 15 minutes vs 20 forges with 15 sparkpowder each - sparkpowder - to get the same result However, you would not be able to put it on your quetzal, so if you want a mobile forge, you still have to go for the refining forges.
