Anyone on an official server have a good method. The wiki methods are sketchy at best. Thanks in advance. Use bug repellent so you can get close to them still dangerous. You could also lure them close to the shore and build a taming pen but they tent to jump out of the water when aggroed and they die in seconds. But even if you manage to tame one, the chance to keep it is almost not existent. I tamed over 10 and all of them got killed in the first 5min. I gave up on taming a manta, I have it in the dossier so screw it xD For events like Mantaraces we do on our dedi server we just forcetame some and kill them when the event is over. A quick jab through the heart of an unsuspecting survivor can easily take them by surprise! Stats and breeding questions.
This makes it far faster even before the speed nerf and the fastest creature in the ocean. I can't think of why the manta should be that much faster than the ichthy especially when it excels at combat and isn't much harder to tame. I'd either revert the ichthy speed or change the manta's. Share your opinion. According to this video Plesi and Mosa were the equal fastest and now the Plesi has been nerfed the Mosa is king. Creature's speed with a rider is different from speed without a rider. So that video is almost irrelevant.
This overgrown bug can potentially change your farming routine in Ark: Survival Evolved and how you defend your base as a whole. The Mantis, while not the most attractive of creatures, is something that every seasoned and new player to Ark should invest in taming and breeding out to create a strong line. This guide will show you how to tame a Mantis in Ark easily: Survival Evolved. With a leaping attack that will deal way too much damage to the unsuspecting Survivor and the sheer number of them traveling together, taming this creature can be challenging. The Mantis is, fortunately, though, not difficult to find at all as it is present on quite a few maps, including:. There are two different ways of taming a Mantis in Ark: Survival Evolved. One includes time, effort, and often pain, while the other requires nothing more than a short flight and a dip in the ocean. The original strategy with the Mantis was to acquire a Deathworm Horn , put on your best Ghillie Armor , consume Bug Repellent and crouch up behind the bug as it skittered across the terrain, hoping not to be spotted. While this strategy does work, it requires a lot more effort because you first need to kill a Deathworm. The more straightforward method of taming the Mantis involves first having a Wyvern.

Bring extra AnglerGel due to the difficulty of pinpointing a single manta in the swarm; it is easiest to just feed and tame all of them as you're able to get within feeding range. Talon 7 years ago 6 TheTacosEnigma posted Its tail is incredibly sharp, and can pierce through thick hide and armor with ease. Use bug repellent so you can get close to them still dangerous. Use an amphibious mount to lure them into very shallow water so they can't go up or down , jump on land, apply Bug Repellant on yourself, put on your scuba fins and approach the manta from the rear. With an abundance of time and absolutely nothing better to do. I have a huge water pen out in the deep so once I get one it has a slim chance of beaching itself. The shark has a terrible bite you have to position the fish underneath the nose just right , misses everything, the fish you do bite fly away and you don't get the meat, it's super weak when it does bite, then The exception seems to be the scorpion. The mantas swarming around a Basilosaurus seem pacified and won't attack survivors even if touched, unless something sets them off like a "free-range" manta attacking your mount, or the Basilosaurus eating something and activating the group aggro. The colored squares shown underneath each region's description are the colors that the Manta will randomly spawn with to provide an overall range of its natural color scheme. I made the mistake of thinking bug repelent would keep him off me as I fed him.

Juni um As for it beaching itself, I suppose the first thing is to remember to turn off follow as soon as it's tamed. I know tamed ones are super quick, but I can't say that for the wild ones. The trick here is that Manta's do not attack creatures standing in water, but only the ones swimming in it. It is not recommended to go head to head with these, but rather use a mount to take one out. I don't know if the rays are stupid but the sharks are, for sure. Would be cool if you had 10 seconds to punch it back into the water but that's not the case. Malfunctioned Tek Creatures. Even low level ones can shred through armor easily. Help General. So it can't really farm for meat well and it can't run.
You are absolutely right. In it something is also to me it seems it is good thought. I agree with you.
