If it was cut back to a few chapters on topic and developed a story line with progression it would have been much better. This was a really well written book and a great story on top of that, I admit some things did frighten me to the core but that's what made the book so great! And I hate giving any book only one star. After nearly a decade the family left a once beloved home behind though it will never leave them, as each remains haunted by a memory.
