One aspect that I found fun was raising my arms above my head so I could glide from ledges and climbing is quite intuitive, too. Anyway, I enjoyed taking down the robotic foes at the end of the tutorial and couldn't wait to see what kind of opponents I would have to deal with next. Once I jumped into a campaign and realised that these robotic tutorial enemies were the only kinds of enemies that I'd face, that's when disappointment began to sink in. Upon arriving at the lobby, some character said a bunch of things as I wandered around seeing what I could do. Although there are a lot of terminals, chests, and monoliths, the only thing I could do was start a campaign so I went back to the lobby entrance only to see another player groping the character that was talking to me. After laughing at that, I started a campaign only to realise that I couldn't manage much without being at the base camp or lobby and with such a convoluted system of chests and inventory management, I still don't know how you're supposed to effectively store and utilize your gear. Well, we're not off to a good start. You can equip a sword in one hand and a shield in the other and you summon them by simply holding L1 and R1 on the Sense controllers then you swing your blade to damage foes while raising your shield to block attacks. As you progress, you'll be able to wield 2-handed weapons as well as equip a sword in each hand and there are some cool special moves, too. For example, you can raise your blade and place your hand on it to imbue a magical attack as well as raise your blade to the sky to charge it up. I also liked upper-cutting enemies with my blade to fling them into the air. After defeating all of the enemies in a stage, you can explore to find treasure chests and various currencies but doing so is incredibly boring which makes me wonder; why couldn't they simply give you all of the treasures automatically as soon as you complete a level? Wandering around an empty stage isn't challenging so why force players to do that? Regardless, gathering items only to exchange for gear at shops, enhance weapons at the blacksmith, and boost stats at a terminal is kind of rewarding but with such ridiculously over-compartmentalised menus that should all be available in a comprehensive pause screen, it's frustrating to manage anything. Even if you have the patience to explore empty stages for loot and figure out the overly complex menus and terminals, you'll likely still be disappointed by the repetitiveness of everything.
