While the may have something of a grunge sound they were not just a grunge band they had sounds spanning prog rock, psychedelia, metal, and goth rock. The songs included in the playlist are from two of their top selling albums Siamese Dreams and Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. As a listener these songs give me a feeling of nostalgia. Especially in the song Disarm with the almost sad sounding chord progression mixed will bells. The mix and imaging is pretty much normal. It sounds like everything is centered and no one sound is overpowering everything supports Corgans voice. Which makes sense with the pumpkins being part of the birth of grunge.
