The Animatronics are the primary antagonists of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. As their name suggests, they are animatronic animals or humanoids created by Fazbear Entertainment and Afton Robotics to entertain children at pizzerias and fast-food restaurants some excluded. All animatronics

Since the first Five Nights at Freddy's game was released, it has expanded into its own huge gaming world that includes multiple games, spin-off games, and even a major motion picture. The movie version of FNAF stays pretty true to the plot and the characters that players met in the past, terrifyingly so. Every animatronic in the Five Nights at Freddy's movies was created around pre-established character looks, all of which are carefully and lovingly re-created. Did you see all the characters from previous games you were hoping to see in the film, and did they look the way you wanted? Freddy is the titular star of FNAF, and he looks like a giant teddy bear. Freddy is creepy, period. Chica is a giant yellow bird, and no matter how you phrase that, it still sounds super weird. Chica has humanoid arms instead of wings and often carries around a cupcake, which is also animatronic and has its own personality. Chica's expressive eyes and aggressive personality easily make this one of the most terrifying characters in the entire film. From the first moment Chica is on screen, it's scary. This is very true to the character's video game persona.

At night, they wander about Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in a "free-roaming mode," apparently due to their servos locking up if they stay in place for too long, and sometimes coming after Mike Schmidt. This is confirmed by the Phone Guy. Because the player is there after business hours, they apparently won't recognize him as a human; rather, they will think the player is simply an endoskeleton without a costume. As this is against the rules at Freddy's, they will attempt to forcefully stuff the player into an animatronic suit. Unfortunately, there is no room for a human to stay alive inside the suits, as they are filled with crossbeams, animatronic apparatus, and other structural pieces, especially around the facial area. The only parts of the human body that would ever be seen again are the eyeballs and the teeth, popping out of the front of the suit's mask.
