Airpod pro shaking sound

Front Page. How Tos.

This guide outlines the problem and provides troubleshooting steps recommended by Apple as a potential fix. The noise seems to appear over time, it appears to be a hardware issue as it does not happen when ANC and Transparency Mode are turned off. The sound happens when something causes the earbud to move or vibrate, such as when a person walks, runs, taps the affected earbud with a finger, turns their head, nods, or plays music with a lot of bass. A MacRumors reader describes what it sounds like :. It's often described like it sounds like something has come loose inside the APP earbud. Many people seem to think it's actually a problem with the external microphone: it appears to be picking up tiny vibrations as sound, and then attempting to "cancel" in Noise Cancellation mode or amplify in Transparency mode these sounds which don't actually exist , causing the APP to play the rattling-style noise. Whether this is the actual cause or not I don't know.

I love my AirPods Pro. The AirPods Pro rattling effect is an odd problem to describe, because it typically happens when you either:. They perform just as well in both regards; the noise seems to be completely passive and more likely related to the build quality. In that instance, the issue exhibits itself as an ever-present rattle with every thud of your feet. I think it probably is, and like so many of these Apple issues, the AirPods Pro rattling problem is probably more widespread than people realise. The first piece of evidence is the huge thread concerning it on their support forum. The second is a typically vague reference to it in an official Apple support document. I asked for my first pair of AirPods Pro to be replaced because of the issue and, tellingly, there was absolutely no pushback from Apple. They just did it, immediately, when I explained the problem. I, therefore, suggest that you conduct the cough test and, if you notice any form of odd rattle-like noise when doing so, get in touch with Apple. My very first pair had noise cancellation issues where it would constantly fade out. The second pair would constantly keep pinging my phone to connect when already connected, and the white box would keep showing up. And this third one, has had rattling issues, and had just started electrocuting my ear and finger when they would touch the left earbud.

Just rubbish. See more guides.

It is believed to be a hardware problem at this stage and fairly widespread. Repeat this a few times on each vent and you will get perfect sound quality again. Apple has confirmed each time that it was indeed a hardware issue. That was not my experience, at most my chat with them was perhaps 10 minutes long including explaining the problem, answering a few questions, etc. Therefore at a certain low frequency, which the eardrums were cancelling themselves through our own brains is being amplified to a higher frequency. Very strange. I know that the support document says the time window is based on the original purchase date, but if the product is defective, this policy seems anti-consumer. However most recent reports have Apple now offering replacements fairly quickly, which makes me think they know it is an issue internally. I love my AirPods Pro. I think the problem is with the inner mic which cancels the noise bouncing from the eardrums. MacRumorsRanger said:. In addition to this issue the first bud they replaced had quite a noticeable static that was quite annoying with podcasts.

While listening to music on AirPods Pro 1st generation , it is possible that you may hear rattling, crackling, and static sounds. Bluetooth interference is the most common explanation for the issue.

There are a lot of delicate little components in there and if one of them is rattling around it stands to reason the ANC is picking it up and trying to compensate.
