My Hero Academia has finally uncovered the terrifying origins of its diabolical antagonist All For One and it is darker than anything fans could have ever imagined. The series finally explores All For One's birth and early childhood and may be a harbinger of the darker tone the series may adopt going forward. Chapter of My Hero Academia reveals that All For One and his brother Yoichi were orphaned as infants as their mother passed away soon after giving birth to them, leaving the two to fend for themselves. The chapter is uncharacteristically graphic and gory as it goes on to discuss how both the mother's corpse and the twins were almost gnawed on by rats, adding to Yoichi and All For One's tragic origin story. While My Hero Academia has no shortage of tragic backstories and dark villain origin stories, the tragic circumstances accompanied by the eerily hyper-realistic art style of the chapter help his backstory stand out as one with a distinct tone, the likes of which the series has never displayed before. All For One's backstory is a true villain origin story in every sense of the word, which only gets all the more terrifying as the chapter progresses, as readers see kid AFO use the Quirk he stole from his mother to violently slaughter several soldiers.
My Hero Academia 's big War Arc has left big questions on the table in regards to where the series is heading next. Now All For One is about launch an ambitious new attack, and we have one big question to ask:. At first, All For One seemed like a pretty straightforward and simple villain: he relentlessly pursued his dead brother's quirk, One For All, as it was passed down from user to subsequent user. Along the way, All For One stole quirks to both compile power, and secure durability and longevity. Average people are no longer even sure that heroes are as noble as they're supposed to be, thanks to dark secrets of the top Pro Heroes Endeavor and Hawks coming to light. If All For ONe succeeds in freeing his body, does his consciousness go back to that body alone? Or will he have Shigaraki's body and his own to command? We knew that All For One had made Shigaraki his protege, but now it seems more like Tomura was being both groomed and experimented on to be a vessel for All For One, more so than a successor. Now that Shigaraki's body and powers have been freakishly enhanced, and he has the original AFO quirk, it's a perfect time for All For One to get a new lease on life, in a younger body.
