Therefore I think he was severely underutilised and wasted, despite having so much potential with his haki and Logia. He fought BB who at the time was probably around YC1 level and was clashing evenly with him. So on paper Ace should be above Doffy. Ace honestly lacks great haki feats to even stand against Doflamingo and Doflamingo overall has better tactics and has a much better move pool that even gave Luffy a run for his money.
