But you would be missing out. Where some tea rooms can seem old fashioned, A Taste of Britain has that English feel while still being modern.

An elegant add-on to an afternoon tea! Creamy smoked salmon mousse made with a touch of lemon and dill, piped into savory puffs. Served on garnished and table ready trays. Fillo cups filled with a flavourful mixture of Stilton blue cheese and sweet caramelized onions. Heat and serve. A crowd pleaser! We recommend about 2 pieces per person as an appetizer. Our English cheese and chutney platter. Serves Gluten Free option available.
Savory Caramelized Onion and Stilton Bites Fillo cups filled with a flavourful mixture of Stilton blue cheese and sweet caramelized onions. Menu: Menu: Takeaway Catering. Only downside - the service wasn't really prompt or speedy, so if you go with the mind set of having to wait for it, then you'll be just fine, a taste of britain wayne.
This was one of my top favorite tea houses. They have a nice gift shop with British Merchandise and teas. High Teas was great, the food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone had a good time. The staff were very attentive-and made sure we had everything we needed. The sandwiches were average and not very interesting. It would be really nice to have more interesting options for the sandwiches.
I have been to TOB four times. The first three experiences during the weekday were lovely. Our last experience in the Spring of , was on a Saturday and was disappointing. My daughter order the drinking chocolate instead of tea. When it arrived it was lukewarm and seemed extremly watered down. It took forever for me to get the attention of the waitstaff. When I quietly and polietly told our waitress about the chocolate, she looked at me in disbelief!

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Sandwiches come on a garnished, table ready tray. It is not 'swamky' but has a homey feel to it like you are in someone's home- it is low key - if you are looking for the Ritz, this place isn't it. We had someone at Bryn Mawr hospital so we stopped here for lunch on the way home. Would not return, or recommend. A place not to be missed Select time and date. It was my first time coming to a Taste of Britain and i had a great time. This truly chintz cake stand is perfect for displaying sweet or savoury treats and creating a fabulous spread for your tea party guests. The photo shows a sampling of the jugs we have available for rental. I visited a Taste of Britain today with a couple of friends. Comes with 6 pieces of gluten-free tea sandwich, 1 gluten-free scone with spreads, 3 gluten-free pastries, and 1 teabag per person.
Really good! My husband had the pork tenderloins. He loved it!!

Great place to sit and have a relaxing cup of tea with a close friend. Great flavors! Scones were warm and just perfect. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. After having tea, we always roam around Waterloo Gardens. We loved the selection of desserts too, defintely made fresh. In addition, I felt the Full Afternoon was delightful - the scones are out of this world! This plate is the perfect size for your savoury small bites or sweets. First Name. The soups, quiches, and pastries are wonderful.
