What are the owners' experiences here with the fuel consumption of the Corolla KE70? The general opinion in Malaysia is that the 4K is a heavy gas guzzler. Indeed, the entire K-series range are well known here for their horrendous fuel consumption. Even the fuel- injected 7K which came with the initial batch of Toyota Unsers here recently do very poorly. Understandably, the K-series are older generation OHV engines which are not supposed to be be fuel efficient.
I could write volumes on how to select a well-sized downdraft for your motor. The lowest I've had the fuel gauge was when the needle was just on the tip of the E Bruce. GoodSeller83 on 13 May 12 PM.
Don't spend heaps of money, it's just a crappy old K motor. Balance everything if you can afford it. Use a cam in a 3K, in a 4K, 4K is better. Run 0. Shim the oil pump spring 3mm for more oil pressure. Run between stock and compression. Get the distributor recurved.
During summer time, my car was doing pretty well fuel wise, wasn't focusing on the exact Km's on a full tank, but I'd say around km on a full tank, normal driving. Now I barely get over ish km to a tank in the winter, normal driving as well. It also doesn't run very nicely till its warmed up, but I guess that's sorta normal with an old car. Just doesn't seem right anymore. I checked all vacuum hoses They're all fine and checked for leaks, and took a few photos.

I recently wrote an article about the importance of having a backup generator for your home in case your power goes out and you need an alternative source of energy. The great option with Generac generators is they commonly run on both natural gas and propane, so you have the added benefit of using natural gas which most hybrid generators do not offer. Make sure to also check out my posts on the pros and cons of both gasoline generators , and diesel generators.

Ask a question, start a discussion or post something for sale! I'd say leave the fuel supply stock until it's run in, and you know a tune is going to last longer than the next miles. As the chain wears, it usually won't break, it will just stretch and stretch until it rattles against, and eventually wears through, the timing cover. To change over, you need to change the lot - stems, valves, retainers and seals - and re-cut the valve seats to suit the new valves. I have 4. If you're making it yourself, it's probably worth knowing that one tooth on the camgear is 20 degrees. An engine has a shaft horsepower of hp and its fuel weighs lbs.
I then changed the filter and started off with the 5w synthetic oil, but later changed to the 15w semi-synth as described in the oil section. Realistically, any downdraft is going to be a compromise on your power, because the air still has to turn 90 degrees inside the inlet manifold, from down to sideways. Because the 3K is so oversquare bore is larger than stroke , there's a limit to the amount of power it can make and still be driveable down low. I don't really think removing the thermostat and reinstalling the empty shell is a good way to solve cooling problems either. Unsourced material may be challenged and removed. I wouldn't use a clutch fan, just something else to break, but if you have one and it works and you can't be bothered getting a new fan then just leave it. Sure, you can use a bigger cam to get them to rev harder and make more power, but you need to run higher compression and rev them past rpm, which places alot more strain on the rods and the block and the motor becomes unreliable. The time now is PM. Spoilers not allowed. There are three types of stock manifold. If I get caught in a bad traffic jam, it pretty much drops to below 20 mpg. But maybe it's not so bad after all, as Oldcorollas suggested.

Curiously, and the analogue is?
Certainly. So happens. We can communicate on this theme. Here or in PM.
