At our camp, we do more than just create art—we fully immerse our students into an artist's life.

For the first time in Nelson, 4Cats Arts Studio is offering weekly art camps for children aged five to Some of the summer highlights so far have been abstract expressionist camp, where children are free to explore their messy sides with some paint splattering; Robert Bateman camp, which produces many wild animal paintings; stop motion animation camp, which results in some of the most zany mini claymation movies ever put to film; and painting, puppets and sculpture camp, the best of all worlds. Camps go to the last week of August, so there is still plenty of time to join. Dialogue and debate are integral to a free society and we welcome and encourage you to share your views on the issues of the day. Our 4 day summer camps focus on having fun and developing something new. Low athlete to coach ratios. No prior experience is needed for this camp and any participants with prior training will be accommodated. Handstands, cartwheels, hand springs, aerials, walk overs, and more…. Bum drops, swivel hips, stomach drops, up to flips — all skills are taught on professional equipment by qualified Trampoline coaches. Flips — We get asked all the time to teach flips, which we are happy to do so when the athlete is ready. Safety is a priority and no short cuts on technique.

Our focus is teaching practical drawing and art skills that inspire our students to use art as a way of life. Our studio is inclusive and friendly. We firmly believe that everyone holds the potential to learn to draw, regardless of talent or experience. Just one hour of instruction is all it takes, with the only requirement being an interest and willingness to learn. Every participant leaves with a collection of original and unique artwork. We prioritize individual mentoring, with a maximum of 12 students per class or camp to ensure personalized attention and support. Further to our commitment to personalized attention begins with an in-person pre-registration consultation, ensuring the perfect fit for each student. We take the time to understand their needs, interests, and skill levels.
