CVT Fluid. Thread Tools. CVT Fluid level. Hi all, I changed my CVT fluid on my Maxima yesterday and I usually do a drain and fill and filter change and add almost 5 quarts, This time around I'm having a hard time to get an accurate reading. I put almost 5 quarts in and it's still showing I could use a little more to bring the level up to the end of the crosshatch. Do any of you guys think it's safe to put the remaining of what's left of the quart? I have drove for about 45 mins and left the car running and it's also 90 degrees out and I'm still getting a low reading, Funny thing is yesterday I had a normal reading on the dip stick. If I put the rest of the remaining quart that would be a total of 5 quarts and I'm wondering if this is safe to do? Thank you. Last edited by MaximusN8; at PM. View Public Profile.
