Before opening the hood to see if there is anything wrong with the AC compressor, start the Ram and turn the AC off and back on a few times. Do it somewhere quiet. Something else is the problem. Or, it may be turned by an independent belt. Inspect the belt to see if it is cracked or shiny. It could even be missing entirely without you noticing if it is an independent belt.

Status Not open for further replies. I cut away the lower part of the fan shroud stopping the water build up. Unless it's "cycling" quickly, it's fine. It's fairly loud because my truck is pretty thoroughly sound proofed. Sure enough it was my condenser fan.
